The Challenge

Develop ongoing global training modules and manage the face-to-face training component of DBA.

Diageo Bar Academy provides bar professionals with everything they need to improve their skills and enhance their career: training and education, bar news, cocktail trends, drinks inspiration, a global network of experts and insights from some of the industry’s leading influencers and world-renowned bartenders.

For the last 5 years Sweet&Chilli has researched, developed and delivered educational training content for DBA. Ranging from the essentials and fundamentals of bartending, category knowledge, techniques, drink serves and through to advanced bar management, there isn’t much we haven’t covered.

We use our global bar network, as well as our years of hands on experience to make sure the modules both inspire and educate. They are written by our drinks experts and designed for bar professionals who are hungry for the right information. Each module includes a trainer’s script and presentation alongside workbooks or supporting material needed to deliver the session.

As part of our partnership with DBA we also manage the face-to-face training program from end-to-end in Australia. We identify training opportunities with venues, book sessions, deliver the training and lay the ground for commercial opportunities with the sales team. Where we are not able to send our trainers to venues we use Train the Trainer. This is our program where we teach global Brand Ambassadors and trainers in other markets to deliver the content in our place.
